Runs Of Plenty

Thursday night the Falcons scored in every inning but one, erupting for an impressive 19-7 win over the visiting Kamloops NorthPaws to win the series.

Offensively the bats seemingly could do no wrong with 19 runs on 15 hits including three homeruns and six extra base hits.  All of this came after the pitching staff coughed up a three-run top of the first inning that allowed the NorthPaws to take the lead…a lead they didn’t hold for long.

Six Falcons’ hitters had a multi-hit game as Druw Frost and Riley Quealey each recorded three of them. Frost also collected five RBIs highlighted by a three-run homer. Nolan Eberwein (pictured) and Talon Tucker each homered in the game as well while Tucker and Xander Sielken finished with three RBIs each.

Thursday’s game was the biggest offensive outpouring of runs and hits in a game this season for the Falcons.

With the offensive production the pitching staff were able to go right after hitters and finished with 11 strikeouts.  Reliever Jacob Beaudoin recorded the victory after starter Maddon McArthur struggled early but was bailed out by the offence.

The victory claims the Falcons fifth straight series win as they will now prepare for a weekend tilt with the visiting Victoria Harbourcats, a team they swept earlier this year.  Friday night’s game at Elks Stadium will see the opening pitch set for 6:35pm.
