After a series win at Elks Stadium over the weekend taking two of three from the visiting the Nanaimo NightOwls the Falcons (24-15) hit the road starting Monday night to meet the Bellingham Bells (24-15) in North Division showdown.

It’s the last time these two teams will meet this regular season.  They met at Elks Stadium to open the new 2026 campaign when the Falcons won the series finale to avoid the sweep, scoring 13 runs and winning 13-7.

The Falcons continue to play solid, well-rounded baseball and are in a position to battle for a postseason berth with this series against the Bells being a massive one.  They have identical records, both 3.5 games back of first-place Wenatchee with 15 games remaining.

Runs could be hard to come by over the next three days with two of the top three pitching staffs in the West Coast League on display.  The Falcons have a combined team ERA of 3.57 while the Bells’ ERA checks in at 3.91.  Both teams pitch to contact but have the ability to strike out the side in any inning. 

On the offensive side the Falcons are hitting .266 and have scored 260 runs, while the Bells are slightly better at the plate with a team batting average of .274 but have one less run scored on the season.

Coming into the series the Falcons have won eight of their last nine series while the Bells have won eight of their last nine games, outscoring the Kamloops NorthPaws 24-12 this past weekend. 

This should be a dandy of a series to open a six game Falcons’ road trip.  After the three games in Bellingham, the team will drive to Edmonton for a series with the Riverhawks this weekend.
