With baseball starting this month, the coaching staff continue to add pieces to the 2026 roster and are excited to announce the signing of Xander Sielken of Cal State Monterey Bay.

The junior outfielder transferred to CSU Monterey following a redshirt freshman season at the University of Hawaii and two seasons at West Valley College.

This spring he’s hitting the ball well and has started all 50 games. He’s hitting .320, has collected 65 hits, 10 doubles, 38 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He is leading his school with 203 plate appearances and has an OPS of .772.

Prior to this season he spent two years at West Valley and helped them to a #2 ranking in the state of California and batted over .376 while earning an Academic All-State recognition. While in high school in his hometown of Ewa Beach, O’ahu, Hawaii, Sielken was ranked at the top ranked third baseman in the state and 14th best player overall in Hawaii.

He has all the tools to be a very exciting player at Elks Stadium this summer and the Falcons are looking forward to him joining the team! The home opener is set for May 29th with the Bellingham Bells in town. Season tickets are available now by contacting the Falcons headquarters at 250-762-4100.

The team is also looking for a few more billet families this season. Billeting can be a beneficial experience for both players and host families. For billet families, it means opening up their homes to aspiring baseball players, giving them an opportunity to share experiences within the billet family unit. For the player, it’s a chance to share different cultural and social experiences while developing their skills. To learn more, contact the Falcons billet coordinator Karen Nonis at 250-717-6870.
