Snapped

Wednesday night the Falcons had their six-game winning streak snapped in Kamloops getting shutout 7-0 by the NorthPaws who even the series.

After the offence seemingly had their way with opposition pitchers as of late, three NorthPaws hurlers found the right recipe to cool the Falcons hot bats.

Offensively the visitors recorded seven hits, but just one for extra bases, a double by Rees Kozar. The NorthPaws really cut down their mistakes on the mound on Wednesday, allowing just three walks, something the Falcons have been able to take advantage of recently. They also struck out six in the ball game.

The NorthPaws scored a single run in the bottom of the first inning off Falcons starter Max Biddle.  It would prove to be the game winner and Biddle took the loss.  They added four more runs in the bottom of the third which pretty much sealed the deal for the home side.  The Falcons used six pitchers in total and struck out five.

With the loss the Falcons drop their ninth game of the year and head home for Thursday to host the NorthPaws in the series rubber match at 6:35pm.  The gates at Elks Stadium will open at 5:30pm and tickets can be purchased at the gate at that time.
