Hawks Punch Out Falcons
Friday night the Falcons bats struggled in Edmonton against pitcher Trey Nance who helped the Riverhawks in a 5-1 victory.
Nance proved to be difficult over the course of 8.1 innings allowing just one run on six hits and struck out six Falcons at the plate. The lone run the visitors would score didn’t come until the ninth inning; Boogie McNeal led off with a double then two batters later Xander Sielken singled him home.
The Riverhawks got their huge crowd into the game early scoring four runs in their first at bat off Falcons’ starter Jacob Beaudoin who loses for the first time this season. It would be a hole too big for the Falcons to dig out of, recording seven hits all game led by McNeal and Cade Burnham who each had two hits.
Saturday night the Falcons (25-18) will meet the Riverhawks (23-20) again at 6:05pm PST looking to even the series with just two games separating these two in the standings.
