Two More Arms
With the start of the 2026 West Coast League season just over a month away the Falcons coaching staff continue to recruit some of the top talent in college baseball and are excited to announce the commitment of two pitchers.
Lefthanded pitcher Jacob Beaudoin (pictured) is a native of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, roughly 45 minutes southeast of Montreal. He stands at 6-foot-7 and is currently a redshirt sophomore attending Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas.
This spring he has only appeared in two games and has struck out one batter in the process. He has been given an opportunity to continue to work in his craft at ATU and is developing into a pitcher their coaching staff will need in his junior and senior years. Coming to the Falcons this summer will help punctuate his development as he will get the chance to face D1 hitters and work out of important in-game situations assisting his growth physically and mentally on the mound.
He will be hungry to eat up innings for the Falcons pitching staff when the season begins on May 29th.
In addition to Beaudoin, the Falcons have also added righthanded pitcher Corwin Allard to the staff.
He is a young righty with a high ceiling and will gradate from Tesoro high school in Ladera Ranch, California this year before coming to Kelowna. He has already committed to attend Cal State Northridge in the fall and will get his first taste of dealing with D1 hitters this summer with the Falcons.
Coming into this season his fastball is touching 90mph as he continues to grow into his athletic frame. At the 2024 Perfect Game Junior National Showcase they described him as: Turn step into a leg lift at the belt and a slightly crossfired front foot. High three-quarters arm slot and creates short sinking life on the fastball. Topped out at 89 mph and lived in the 86-88 mph range throughout the showcase. Command of the pitch mostly came to the arm side. Tunnels the slider nicely from a similar slot and had spin north of 2500 rpm. Good shape and horizontal break to the slider and could land the pitch for strikes. Good action on the changeup which came in the low-80s. Command of the arsenal will improve as he continues to add strength and repeat delivery. Tremendous student.
The Falcons are excited to get both pitchers to Elks Stadium for the upcoming season beginning in just over a month. Season tickets are available now and the team is still looking for a few more families to serve as a billet family to some of these incredible athletes. Billeting can be a beneficial experience for both players and host families. For our billets, it means opening up their homes to aspiring baseball players, giving them an opportunity to share experiences within the billet family unit. For the player, it’s a chance to share different cultural and social experiences while developing their skills. To learn more, contact the Falcons billet coordinator Karen Nonis at 250-717-6870.
