Series Tied

Tuesday night was blustery and cold at Elks Stadium, but the Falcons bats didn’t seem to mind pounding out 14 hits in an 8-1 victory over the visiting Victoria Harbourcats.
What a difference a day makes on the mound as well. Kelowna’s own Teagan Ribbink got the start and held the Cats to one run on three hits and struck out four over the course of 4.1 innings. Carson Kimball came out of the pen, recorded the win striking out three in 1.2 innings before Ethan Rattie finished the ballgame off with three innings of shutout baseball.
Offensively our bats scored three times in the fourth, added a single run in the seventh and put up four in the eighth for some insurance. Cameron Sewell had a nice night with three hits and three RBIs while Matthew Pena (pictured) and Ryan Degroot each had two hits and drove in a run.
With the series tied, the rubber match goes on Wednesday night. It’s also final game of the homestand before the Falcons hit the road. They are back on June 14th when the Bellingham Bells come to town. The first pitch on Wednesday is set for 6:35pm, an hour after the gates open at 5:30pm. Reserve your tickets HERE. It’s also a Wine Wednesday with deals all night long from The View Winery.
