Hornets Swarm

A pair of Sacramento State Hornets have been added to our 2024 roster as we are excited to welcome Cameron Sewell and Myles Walton.

Sewell (left) is a freshman hitting infielder with plenty of upside. In his final year of high school last year, he hit .402 with 21 RBIs, 30 runs scored, stole 10 bases and received All-State honours. As a first-year player at Sacramento State he hasn’t seen too much action this spring. He’s played in 21 games, collected 13 hits, has a double and a triple and five RBIs.

Walton (right) is also a freshman, but plays in the outfield. He was an “All-Metro Second Team” selection made by the San Francisco Chronicle last year as a senior batting .431 with 27 runs scored and 14 stolen bases. As a first-year player this spring he has played in 12 games, has five hits, two of them for doubles, scored four times and has a pair of RBIs.

Both players will make their way to Kelowna for the home opener on May 31st. Season tickets are available now and you can book your corporate summer parties at the ballpark, just call or email Alex Draper at adraper29@shaw.ca.
