Who is your baseball hero? I really like watching Fernando Tatis Jr and Ronald Acuna Jr because of their energy. I also liked watching catcher Ivan Rodriguez when he was playing.

Your favourite Major League Team: I’m a Yankees fan!

Why play baseball and not another sport? I totally wanted to follow my brother growing up and have stayed with it because of the pure enjoyment.

What drew you to the school you are attending: McLennan College offered me a great experience, a playing opportunity, and a very good financial opportunity to play post-secondary baseball.

2022-23 – Member of McLennan squad that finished second in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference, qualifying for the Region V Tournament • Appeared in 42 games for the Highlanders, recording a .352 average (second on the team) with nine doubles, five home runs (team high), 40 RBI (team high), 30 walks (third on team), 31 runs scored (third on team) and four stolen bases • NTJCAC Second-Team All-Conference selection • NJCAA All-Academic Second-Team selection.

High School – Recorded a .341 batting average with two home runs, 13 stolen bases and 21 RBI playing for coach Danny Wallace • Second-team All-District selection • LEF Scholarship recipient • Jammin Jag Award recipient • Graduated in top-12 percent.

Personal – Son of Joey and Tawna Kuni • Born in Flower Mound, Texas • Has one brother, Andrew, and one sister, Adriana • Sports management major.
