The 2023 Falcons Pitcher of the Year is back in Kelowna this summer as Koen Van ‘T Klooster returns to the roster!

He was simply outstanding two years ago striking out a West Coast League high 60 batters over the course of 41.2 innings. He appeared in 12 games that season collecting three wins and a 3.88 ERA, helping the Falcons to a postseason berth. Twice he fanned at least 10 batters in an outing with his most impressive on July 16, 2023, at Elks Stadium when he struck out 11 Edmonton Riverhawks in only five innings and didn’t give up a hit.

Coming into this summer, the righty from the Netherlands will join the club following his junior season at Nicholls State University in Louisiana. In nine games this spring he has used his lively fastball and outstanding curve to strike-out 21 batters.

The Falcons staff are extremely excited to have him back in the rotation and he will no doubt be an important piece of the puzzle for the club to have success in the West Coast League this summer.
