Here Kitty, Kitty…



Monday night, North Division and Canadian rivals, the Victoria Harbourcats come to town to open a three-game series at Elks Stadium.

Last night the offence found a spark and blasted out 13 hits and scored 14 runs in a lopsided 14-8 victory over Nanaimo. Matthew Pena knocked in three runs and Nate Gray Jr. reached base all six times, recording four hits, two walks and scored five runs.

Meanwhile the Harbourcats offence has also found their stride winning their last two games, outscoring Kamloops 21-7.   Third baseman Jake Haggard, a sophomore from the University of Louisiana-Monroe has had a hot start, batting .500 in his 14 plate appearances.

Jackson Mayo will get the start on the bump for the Falcons after arriving in Kelowna on Saturday night.  He’s a sophomore from Rice University and will make his Falcons debut.
