Cal Poly Talent

The Falcons continue to build out the 2025 roster and have added four players with ties to Cal Poly University in California.

Right-handed pitcher Quincy Winkler is one of the tallest players to ever join the Falcons at 6’8” and 225 pounds. The Templeton California native is in his freshman year and has seen limited innings this spring as he continues to work on his craft. As a senior in high school, he was named the MVP of the Ocean League for his work done at the plate. He hit .444 and set a new school record with 39 RBIs. That’s good information for Falcons head coach Doug Noce if he needs a pinch hitter late in a ball game.

Arlo Pendleton is an incoming freshman to Cal Poly and is big right-handed pitcher at 6’5” and 205 pounds. He can run the fastball up to 87mph and will get a very good understanding of how he needs to pitch at the college level this summer.

Devin Porch (pictured) will be a freshman at Cal Poly this fall hailing from Long Beach, California. He has a compact athletic frame with above average speed, running a 7.03 in the 60-yard dash. He has outstanding footwork to the baseball as an outfielder with clean glove actions working through the ball. He has shown a polished connected swing at the plate while in high school and stays balanced, handles the barrel well and extends through the ball with the bat.

Infielder Gavin Spiridonoff is another young player that has committed to Cal Poly for the fall. He is a solid recruit with plenty to be excited about. With the bat he has shown he can get on base and can hit to all parts of the field. He’s also a solid defensive player up the middle and will give the Falcons coaching staff options as a very versatile infielder.

The Falcons seem to have outstanding young talent from Cal Poly join the club each summer and the coaching staff is excited about these four new recruits that will make their way up to Kelowna for this season. Tickets for the 25th anniversary year are available now for individual games and season tickets, just call the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100 or email admin@kelownafalcons.com to reserve today.
