Ring The Bell

Head coach Gregg Zaun continues to build out the Falcons pitching staff and has added righty Jackson Bell from Utah Tech University.

The 6’2, 195 pounder is a sophomore from Vista, California primarily coming out of the bullpen. He has yet to be called upon this spring following 13 appearances as a freshman last year. In 13.1 innings he fanned 12 batters including four in one game.

While attending Cathedral Catholic high school he was part of the baseball program for all four seasons. During his senior year he won three games with 37 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched. Over the course of his high school career he struck out 101 batters.

Coming out of high school he was also recruited by UC Riverside but decided to head to Utah Tech “because of how welcomed I felt during the recruitment process. The coaches, staff, and other faculty around campus made Utah Tech feel like home.”

In the classroom he is majoring in BIS individualized studies.

The Falcons home opener is set for May 29th when the Bellingham Bells come to Elks Stadium and season tickets available now as well as billet opportunities to create everlasting memories. Billeting can be a beneficial experience for both players and host families. For billet families, it means opening up their homes to aspiring baseball players, giving them an opportunity to share experiences within the billet family unit. For the player, it’s a chance to share different cultural and social experiences while developing their skills. To learn more, contact the Falcons billet coordinator Karen Nonis at 250-717-6870.
