International Falcons

The 2025 pitching staff is one of international flavour with four countries represented, all with one common goal to win.
Not only joining Canadians and Americans on the staff this year, but a pair of pitchers from the Netherlands and one from Australia will be in the mix.

A couple of weeks ago the Falcons announced the return of Koen Van ‘T Klooster to the staff, but fellow countryman right-hander Gio De Graauw (pictured) from the Netherlands is also coming. He is currently a junior at Newman University in Kansas, starting 13 games this spring and has collected three wins on a team that is struggling at 10-35. He’s thrown over 70 innings and has struck out 77 in the process. The Falcons coaching staff will no doubt enjoy having a workhorse that can also help coach the younger pitchers in their preparation this summer.

Brisbane, Australia native Joel Hogan is coming to Kelowna as well from East Central University in Oklahoma. Like De Graauw, Hogan is a junior righty on a team that is not playing well this spring. Hogan has appeared in 14 games, starting six of them and has a victory. He’s fanned 32 batters in 38.2 innings and will give Coach Noce another solid arm at his disposal.

The Falcons open the season on May 30th at home when they welcome the Victoria Harbourcats to town for a three-game series. Reserve your season seats or individual game tickets now by calling the Falcons headquarters at 250-763-4100 or email, admin@kelownafalcons.com
