Walk Away

The Falcons outhit the Bellingham Bells on Wednesday night at Joe Martin Field but didn’t have the pitching performance they were looking for in a 10-4 setback.
Offensively the club collected 12 hits led by Matthew Pena who had three of them including a double and he scored a run. Trevor Wilson, Jacob Campagna and Lucas Scott had two each and Scott added two RBIs.
In the top of the third the Falcons initially took the lead when Trey Duffield drew a bases loaded walk to push across Jacob Devenny. Then in the eighth they scored three times highlighted by a two-run ground rule double by Scott but by that time the game was out of reach.
The pitching staff didn’t have a great game combining for 13 walks and coughed up five runs in the bottom of the seventh to grow their lead.
Thursday night the Falcons and Bells will meet for the final time this season as they wrap up the series. The Falcons return home on Friday night to host the Port Angeles Lefties to begin a three-game weekend series. Fans can purchase tickets online HERE.
