Full Count with JJ Luna

What is your major: I chose Political Science with a specification in legal studies because I plan to apply to law school in the fall of 24’. I am also minoring in business management to know the business world.

Who is your baseball hero? I have grown up loving Ted Williams. When I was a kid my dad used to talk about him all the time. I looked up to him because when I was during my hitting days I was obsessed with his lefty swing.

Your favourite Major League Team: My favorite team is the reigning World Series Champions Texas Rangers.

Why play baseball and not another sport? Ever since I was a little kid, I always dreamed of playing college baseball. My dad and I created a special relationship over the game and it continued to grow as I became older. I love how baseball is a game of failure and players can learn many life lessons from the game.

Any family in the game? I don’t have any other family members that play the game.

What drew you to the school you are attending: I am attending West Texas A&M because of the opportunity I have to play baseball and receive a great education. I chose this school due to the small community environment and the ability to create relationships with my teachers.
